Hi, I can talk about the thing that I did before and I realice that something to works is save at least the 40% of your income, mainly for 2 reasons. One, you push you to find ways to generate more income taking advantage of your creativity and tool that you have around, and 2 because in this way you can have a capital in the future that can help you to make better investments that give you a possible finalcial liberty.
To reduce consumerism, i would say that people should watch out for ads and companies' advertisings. Many of these big bussiness promote products made in mass, low-quality and questionable working conditions. We should better promote our local producers and make our local economy grow, counteracting these companies and their dirty ways
Consumerism is something that we must handle well, since if not, it could harm us in the future, then we must be aware of what we buy and consume, since many times we buy things only because of popularity and because other people have it, and this is something we must change. also to reduce plastic consumption we should reuse plastic bottles, plastic containers, etc. Also when we go to a supermarket we should use a cloth bag, so that we can reuse it as many times as you want.
Many times we can avoid certain things that are going to harm us and due to the laziness that humans almost always handle, we do not avoid it, we have time to change, and we must be aware that if we do not do it, in the future there will be thousands of consequences
Whenever you go to a shopping center, try to go with little money, in this way you will not be able to spend it on offers, or things that you think you need but it is not like that. Because you do not have money you will not be able to buy extra things, you will have time to reconsider the purchase of this product, you will save money and you will be a critical consumer. Maybe that sounds limiting but little by little you will get used to thinking before buying, to having control over your expenses and helping to reduce consumerism.
Use a six-month supply list. note all you buy and try to minimize aldo your budget for innecessary things, some examples which you can note in the list, are: Toothpaste, paper towels, deodorant, cleaning supplies, and so much more.
Finally try to shopping for as much as possible online, and avoiding as many physical stores as possible, our weekends are restored.
An advice that I can say to reduce the consumerism is buying products eco-friendly, also, not buying products unnecessary, other could be using more the bicycle and reuse more the bags and bottles.
My advice is to be more conscious about what we buy and think if we really need to buy a certain items and what effect this will have, not only for us now but also for everything and everyone in the future.
My advice is to try to buy what is necessary and that they are fine since most products are damaged quickly and oh what to buy repeatedly since it is needed
Some easy tips to reduce consumerism that have worked for me are: Set a plan when going shopping, if you stick to the plan you will purchase only the products that you really need. Do not buy things just because the item is on SALE. Do not let the consumerism trick your mind on purchasing an item just because is cheap. Always stick to your buget, if you think how much we spend on unnecessary things, you will notice that saving that money for a proyect or travelling will be a better use of that resource.
Some recommendations that we can take to reduce consumerism can be to take care of and keep all the things we have in good condition, try to repair things that can be damaged, take the time to think about what to buy and try to make good decisions when shopping, don't waste and spend on what is necessary. here is a video about global consumerism that makes us think about all that we spend unnecessarily in the world:
An advice would be to make a list of things that are exclusively necessary and separate a budget for them, for example, when you're going to buy groceries, think about things you need day to day and you couldn't live without them; Also, save the money that's left when you don't buy those unnecessary things, and enjoy it doing other stuff, like traveling or going out with friends, that way it will be easier to keep doing it.
I think it is important to be comfortable with what we have, consumerism has led us to a level of acquiring something at all costs, without really taking into account our essential priorities. It is more important to share with family and friends than to be concerned about the latest trends and try to appear before others what we are not. We must be aware that this is leading us to an uneducated society with no personal purpose.
A tip to reduce consumerism is to reflect on our real needs and prioritize what is really important. Avoid buying on impulse and look for sustainable and long-lasting alternatives. Consider the environmental and social impact of our consumption and opt for second-hand products or exchanges. Encourage the responsible use of resources and promote a lifestyle based on personal satisfaction and not on the accumulation of material goods.
Do you know how much money would you have if you had saved the money that you waste buying unnecessary things? maybe with that money, you could go to a good restaurant with your family, I'm not saying that not buy things but at least if you are going to use that money, use it for something that really is necessary for example food, services, and things like those.
you should not cook more than you are going to eat, store the food in containers and put a label with the expiration date to consume the first thing that is damaged, it is also good to plan the meals and buy only what is needed
Try to buy only what you really need. Before shopping, think carefully: Do I already have something similar?, Can I borrow it or fix what I have? Many times, we buy things just because they are in sale or because we are bored. Instead, focus on things that bring real value to your life, like spending time with family or learning something new. This way you save money, help the environment, and feel more satisfied with what you have.
To reduce consumerism, I would advise people to think carefully before buying. Ask yourself: “Do I really need this?” It’s important to focus on needs, not wants. Another tip is to avoid shopping just for fun or when feeling bored. Also, try to reuse, recycle, and repair items instead of throwing them away. Supporting local and sustainable products helps too. Finally, learning to be happy with what we already have can make a big difference. Less buying often leads to more peace and a better planet
The principal, is the people take concience, let's not buy what we don't need, in a future, these things are just trash and the planet will be dead.
