No, i don’t agree with the statement. In the case that we say that we can only listen to music is buying it and not throw YouTube, I would say that Music should still be no free. This is because music, being musician it’s a job and do your job, even if it’s what you’re passionated for, should be reward because behind your good music, there’s a big investment and effort of yourself. Imagine do your best, always and break your head to come up with a good song and then don’t have any reward for it, that would be really hard. Because even if you enjoy singing, dancing and composing, it’s hard and you want to feel that what you’re doing it’s increasing over and over. For this reasons I consider that in the case YouTube wouldn’t exist, music should not be free.
I think the music is alreary free for us because we dont have to pay for can listening our favorite music. For example, if we go to any streaming service, we are going to find any song there for free. The only requierment its to have internet, but now days we need internet almost for everything. So, I do believe that to pay for internet to can listen your favorite music its a really low cost if you take into account that then you can use it for other things and you are not going to do anything illegal.
The music is free, everyone can hear and also can make music and it not neccesary to be a great artist to can transmit something, we can do muisc for whatever you want, for example with a pan and a spoon, and I know that the music insdustry has an advanced way to make music, but no for this reason the music would be a limit to listen. Currently the music is more free, you can hear wherever you go or you be, and this is beautiful.
In my opinion it shouldn´t be in that way because the artist need a retribution for their work, and if the government take this kind of measures could be negative for their motivation. For instance, how much work can take create a new album with 8 or 10 song, imagine how much work can take create even one song! It requires talent(a few can create a great song), dedication, ideas, imagination, time and money to have the necessary musical instruments, the studio to record the temples and resources to distribuite in the media. So, do all this work to just people take it without any kind of reward is so sad, that´s why is essential to banned piracy the fast as possible.
For me it is a difficult decision, digital music has a particularity with all other digital products it has a marginal cost of zero, I also think that there are reasons why we should pay for music, and I would enter into a controversial debate with people who They do not agree to pay for the music. I think downloads are not that bad for the music industry
on the other hand I think that music should be free so that all people have access to it
Sarita: In my opinion, music shouldn’t be free, or not if there is no payment to the artist. They are waiting for a payment because they inverted money doing their songs, and that’s a job so we have to pay for that songs which we love listen to. For example, if you don’t have money to pay, you can listen in youtube and it continue being good because youtube pays to the singers
No, I think that music shouldn't be free at all, because that's what artists are working hard for, and they just can't give their work always free, they're living with it and this is their dream and it shouldn't alway be given.
Giving an example of this, if you were with the career of your dreams and you want to do it forever, I imagine that you just can't give all your effort for free. Because then, what would you live the rest of your life with?
I think the music is good as it is now, we all win. They win as artists and we win by having wonderful music to listen to.
I would say that the subject is very interesting and we can draw many options and conclusions about it due to the fact that not all people think alike and obviously many people would like it to be and other people other than it, for example we who are the Buyers of the music and those things we would prefer it to be free obviously and the sellers prefer the opposite since if they leave it for free they would never win anything that is, it is not convenient for them to be free, in conclusion even if they prefer the music to be free well better than stay that way, some for free and another to buy because behind that I imagine that there are people who need money to pay for their things and things like that, so they should stay that way and that the people who cannot buy should stay with the one that is free and that's it
Hello, my name is Vanessa Tatis, I think to have music free is a good idea, becuase people can listen to music in whatever way and moment, listent to music is a way to people use to get relax and enjoy the time, others to work but in this case may be they can get money for payments that they recive in concerts, radios, youtube, spotify or donations. Youtube is a sucesful app to listent to music without need to pay, also the singers can recive money for the advertising.
Hey!, my name is Samantha Giraldo, I don't agree that music should be free because it is obvious that the musician, the singer, the composer deserves the attribution for his work, besides most people create music bands to make money, and it is difficult to become famous or recognized because if you are not famous or recognized you are not going to earn the same as someone who is. If music is free it would be devastating for many companies and people who live from it. There would be fewer musicians, fewer songs, no trends and more
Juan Andrés López: I do not agree, because the artists put a lot of effort into making these musical works, and it would be unfair that neither they nor their work team receive the remuneration they deserve. Making music is not charity, it is a job.
I think that a lot of music is free because even in a supermarket you can listen to music, so I agree that you shouldn't pay to listen to it since in many websites we can find free music. In general, I think that singers earn money in many ways, some, intercating in social networks showing everyday things in their life and they also earn a lot of money in their concerts, so I don't think it is necessary to give them more money. For example, the music of the most famous singers can be heard on YouTube for free but not on Spotify and I think that they do this in order to have a support for that company but not for the benefit of the musician. really the music should be free so the singers promote their music and people are encouraged to go to their concerts or different presentations, others on platforms dedicated to playing music their costs are in many cases high and some people can not pay for those costs.
I think I cannot in good faith go to any of the extreme positions, trying to make all music free could result in the artist getting demotivated and stop doing their work or not put too much effort into it but trying to persecute, demonize or eradicate piracy is just as bad or even worse, first reason, people don't like when big companies try to enforce their copyright with lawsuits or fines just to make an example out of someone, this is just a PR hit and not very good one at that, second reason, artists would lose part of their audience that they wouldn't otherwise have, when someone pirates something they are not taking anything away but they are consuming your media and recommending it to people who can afford it translating it in more sales, and lastly, enforcing copyright is just expensive and a massive waste of time in most cases, this is only worth if you are attacking someone that is profiting from your work. In the end, I think this issue should stay the same piracy and copyright infringement should still be a crime but only should get enforced if the culprit is profiting from it.
I think music should be free for those who listen to it, because a singer or an artist works for it, to give life to their listeners sharing their music, and when you charge something in return you take away the opportunity for many people to enjoy it; you are no longer an artist, you’re a salesman.
If you can make money in various ways for music, why charge people who support you? It’s not necessary. You can earn money with your copyrights, or by doing more tours and concerts; offering streaming services to the platforms that share your music, or you can just do something different and sell accessories and so on to your fans. It is not necessary to become a millionaire to be a singer, just live on it as you would any other work.
nowadays, the sale of mp3 records has replaced the CDs and it has become easier to make it illegal, because copying an mp3 file is much easier and many people do not have the economic capacity to afford to pay a monthly subscription, when there are other people who listen to music for free. I really believe that being like this, music should be free for everyone. Also the more people have the possibility to have access to music, the more fans the singers will have and this in a way could be better for the singers because more people will pay to go to their concerts. Besides the fact that singers earn much more for concerts and international tours than for records sold. That's why I believe that by allowing music downloading to be legal, musicians will have more recognition by the world population.
I dont think we should get all the music we want for free, it is rasonable that if you work so hard for doing something, you should be rewarded for that. This is the same case, some people think that it is not worth it having to pay just for listening music or they just think it is getting us into consumerism which is not good. But, think about it, long time ago if you wanted to get the music you liked you had to buy CDs, and if you couldn´t buy them the only way for istening music for free it was listing on the radio, nevertheless you couldn´t listen what you wanted. Nowdays you can listen the music you want for free by Youtube or other plarforms, the fact that you´d pay for a subscription it is for getting an easier and better way of listening your music, avioding some sponsors or even not using your own internet. So it´s not like if you don´t pay you won´t listen music anymore. The problem is not listening for free in Youtube for instance, but downloading music where the artists won´t get paid for the hard work they do, and yeah they may have a lot of money however, they won´t be performing for ever, music is a really short career where your first chance of being success might be the only one.
It is a hard decision to make i think that it is important that we respect the creation of artist that work really hard on their music, they should be rewarded and people should pay for their content, they also have the copy right, that allowed them to own their creations. Now a days, we are in the era of communication, it is hard to avoid dowloading a movie or a song for free because in the internet we have access to a lot of information just in one click, it would be a lie if i said i never downloaded a free movie or a free song, i think the anwer to that question is very complicated because it is a debate between the etichs and the convenience.
We can find free music but I consider that not all the music should be free, becouse we have to recognize the work that create music is, we need to pay for music in the same way that we need to pay other kind of things like clothes or food, create a song or play an instrument requires much work so that efford needs a payment. The music require a lot of time to be created, needs musicians, composers, engineers, publishers and record companies for this reason music deserve appreciation with money.
The question of whether music should be free is a widely debated topic in the music industry. Music requires time, talent, and resources to be created, produced, and distributed. Artists and other music professionals depend on the income generated by their work to support themselves. Therefore, many argue that music should have an economic value in order to reward artists and promote the continued creation of quality music.
Artists, producers, and everyone involved in making music invest time, talent, and money. They deserve to be paid for their creative work, just like any other professional. Free music would devalue their art, reduce quality, and make it harder for the music industry to thrive and bring us new sounds.
I think is that it's a tricky balance. On one hand, of course, I'd love for music to be accessible to everyone! It's incredible how it can reach people and enrich culture. If it were free, more people would discover it. But then there's the artists' work. Creating music takes a lot of talent, time, and money. It doesn't seem fair for them not to get compensated for their effort. They need to earn money to keep creating. So, while accessibility is important, so is valuing and paying for the work of those who make the music. It's a dilemma without an easy answer.
As a huge fan of music, I believe that today, thanks to technology, anyone can listen to music for free through many digital platforms. In the past, people had to buy CDs or download songs but now, with apps like Spotify and YouTube we can access millions of songs without paying. I think music should be available for free because it brings joy and helps people in many ways. Music can improve our mood, inspire creativity and help us focus while studying. When music is free, more people can enjoy it, no matter where they live or how much money they have. At the same time, I understand that artists work hard to create music, so it’s important they get paid too. Many platforms use ads or offer premium versions to support musicians while still giving free access to listeners. In conclusion, technology has made it possible for everyone to enjoy music for free, which is amazing. I believe music should stay accessible to everyone because it connects people and makes life better.
I think music should not be completely free because artists work hard to create it and deserve to be paid. Making music takes time, talent, and money, so it’s only fair that musicians earn something for their efforts. However, I believe there should be affordable options or free samples so everyone can enjoy music. Streaming platforms help with this by offering both free and paid versions. In the end, supporting artists by paying for music helps them keep creating the songs we love
making music is a job like any other, where it takes effort and time, music can't be free, but it can't be too expensive either, because if they want to reach many people it must be more accessible, that's why there are music platforms like spotify or youtube that help these artists to bill their talent, the more plays they have, the more money they will have, and that's good, nowadays music is one of the most important components in global culture, regardless of the genre, music also transmits feelings, and can help us to perform many activities, such as sports, walking, etc.. for this reason, we must appreciate this art, but be careful, not all music is art.
No, I think if the music was free, many singers wouldn't make music, because that's what they live on apart make music is very expensive.
