However, there was likely once only one language, one with a limited vocabulary and simple rules for combining words and forming sentences. As the need increases, the vocabulary expands, by combining old words or inventing new ones, and the rules can become more and more detailed. At some point, long ago, vocabulary and grammar would have seemingly "taken off": all languages today seem to be the same in their ability to express the nuances and complexities of human life. Languages change, usually very slowly, sometimes very quickly
Words can change, not only in their spelling, language has changes and evolutions, for example, if a tribe of people make exchanges with another, they will begin to use specific words and phrases for the objects of exchange.
Another example is the diversity of the Colombian accent, the accent changes in the different cities of Colombia, Rolo and paisa are Colombian words that refer to two of the most recognized gentilices and accents outside the country, Regionalism The 'regionalisms' are words, expressions or attributions of meanings whose use is exclusive to a certain geographical area, for example, the comma, that little ink stain, can change the meaning of a phrase
In my country the way words are spoken or written to refer to something specific are very varied, this is called social variation and linguistic variation, which depend on the person's environment and culture. For example in Cali it is normal to say "oíste" instead of "Escuchaste" just like the accents are different in each region of the country.
it's up to the regions, what is their culture, customs, their language. however, we know that this change is because of mixed races, that is to say, it give us growth and change in terms of lenguaje, culture, accents. Perhaps more than change, are factors that we have adopted.
The pronunciation of words and phrases is very important throughout the world and in all languages. in this country that is Colombia every day new words are invented or known. and some are a bit confusing and for people to understand it you have to pronounce it very well, if the word or phrase has accents or periods, commas etc. since it could have a different meaning if we mispronounce it. Words have evolved and as the years go by, many letters and ways of saying things have been invented, and that is why it is important, for example, for people who are not from Colombia and are learning this language, because if they do not learn the pronunciation very well. And all that it entails can say a totally different meaning or say something that does not make sense, and it is not only here, in all countries you have to learn the language very well so that later you do not suffer pain or say the wrong things.
Words are in constantly evolution because of the generations that start using them. The words change depending on the context and the place, a short example is the word “Tula” in Spanish. Here in Colombia is referring to a small bag where you carry your things but in Chile it has many meanings, from a part of a male body to a drink that they have.
Words are what we use to express ourself and sometimes they can be confusing for some people, specifically older ones. The perfect example that I have for you, is the case of my grandma and I because I use “normal” words that for her are like if they were in another language. This is not only for modern words though, this is for many. These days I was reading an article that say we have been using words from tribes and still meaning the same. And what is incredible here is that we are that use to using them, that we don’t even get the curiosity to know if they were created now or are something transcendental.
In Colombia words and phrases can change depending on the place you live, because here we have a lot of culture and that makes this country so diversity. For example, my accent is paisa. This accent is easily recognized by its particular intonation and pronunciation, as well as by the words used. Also because the paisas use voseo (treating someone as you, instead of you), as well as because of the repetitive use of "then" when they speak. We use words like parce (friend), ome (someone), camello (work) and phrases like 'avemaria purisima' (exclamation expression) or such as 'que charro' (something that is not pleasant).
And we have even more accents! This is Colombia, a country rich in cultural diversity wherever you are makes you feel at home through the authenticity of its people. :)
In each Colombian department we can find different cultures and with these, different forms of expression and accents. From the coastal or southern part of the country, to the northern part, we will find words and phrases that are used to express something that in another department would mean something totally different or, incidentally, will have no meaning. But, this is precisely what makes us a country rich in cultures. While in the department of Quindío we find words like "chuspa" (it is a bag that is used to transport coca and cocoa leaves, used mainly in the Andean region of South America), in the Magdalena, on the contrary, there is no knowledge of this word and therefore is not used. And like these examples we will find many throughout the country. A sign that Colombia is a rich and beautiful country, full of diversity.
Words could have different meanings depending on the place that you are saying it. That comes related to culture, language, religion and many factors involved. There are different forms of expression and one thing could mean something totally different in other places; For example the word "chucha" is used in departments like El Quindio to make reference to the bad smell you could have in your amrpits but in other departments in Colombia that word is never used and people do not know what it means.
The society as we come to know it had a long history and throgth that history many cultures had his own language, language at the end of the day is a heritage of a culture and because of it many words and phrases can have a lot of meanings througth the world mainly to the fact that the history that some of this cultures have can be diferent across the world. The best example for that is the slag and how it can express the way a culture is formed. Or how just diferent things can have a diferent world attached to it depending on the country.
